Punjab Boards Announced 2nd Year Result Passing Percentage

After the announcement of the 2nd Year Result on September 18, 2025, the passing percentages of all Punjab boards have now been released. Unfortunately, this year’s 2nd Year results turned out to be much worse compared to previous years.

The worst performance was recorded by the Rawalpindi Board, with a passing percentage of only 54.2%. Slightly better was the Sahiwal Board, at 58.92%, while the Lahore Board showed 60.8%. Such low passing percentages raise serious questions about our education system. If major boards perform this poorly, it leaves a concerning picture for the future of Pakistan’s education sector.

On the positive side, the best performance came from the Dera Ghazi Khan Board, with a passing percentage of 74.8%, followed closely by the Faisalabad Board at 73.71%. These two boards emerged as the top performers, but even then, the overall performance is not considered satisfactory.

Looking at this year’s results, it is quite clear that the merit for MBBS admissions will drop significantly.
